Halloween Fun in Bergen County – Trick or Treat?
It’s almost Halloween, and Bergen County is ready with four fun-filled events, all-bursting with costume parades, trick-or-treat goodies, ghost and goblin stories, and lots of giggles. Located near your luxurious rental apartment in Fort Lee, all are recommended to delight your child.
Halloween Fun at Bergen County Zoo
ZOO BOO 2014, brought to you by The Friends of Bergen County Zoo and The Bergen County Parks Department, will be held on Friday, October 24th from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm and Saturday, October 25th from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm & 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm. A fun day to trick-or-treat in the Zoo, listen to ghostly storytelling, watch amazing magic shows, and ride the scary Eerie Express Train ride. *
ADVANCED PURCHASE IS REQUIRED! Purchase your tickets early – this event will sell out quickly. Tickets are $6 each for children ages 3 years and older.
*Eerie Express Train runs from 6:30 – 9:30 each night; not recommended for young children; $5.00 for all riders.

Fair Lawn Halloween Parade and Family Fun Event
Head over to Fair Lawn Memorial Park for some spooky fun on Saturday, October 25, 2014. Moms and Dads are invited to show their Halloween creativity and spirit by arriving in costume to this family event. Imagine the additional laughter this will bring to your little princess or space hero.
Children will be given a full size Halloween treat bag, already filled with goodies, yet roomy enough to add more trick-or-treat candy they collect on Halloween. There will also be a costume contest and prizes, free delicious donuts, apple cider and more.
The parade begins at 10:30 am, traveling around Memorial Park, down the Avenue of Heroes, past the Memorial Pool, to the main concession stand. All participants should gather in their costumes beginning at 10:00 am behind the Memorial Pool Bathhouse.
In case of inclement weather, the parade will be held inside Memorial Middle School, 12-00 1st Street.
The Bergenfield Halloween Parade
On Saturday, October 25, 2014, the Bergenfield Halloween Parade, sponsored by the Joan Schaefer Bergenfield Recreation Department and the Bergenfield Special Improvement District, kicks off at 11:00 am. The parade travels on Washington Avenue towards Church Street, before returning to the Roy Brown Middle School. There will be prizes for best costume and goody bags for the kids.
Registration begins at 10:00 am at Roy Brown Middle School at 130 South Washington Avenue.
Fort Lee Public Library Children’s Pumpkin Party
Spooky music, children wearing adorable costumes and pumpkins to be decorated illustrates the activities highlighted at the Pumpkin Party hosted by the Fort Lee Public Library on Wednesday, October 29, 2014. Bring your own pumpkin and the Library will supply a variety of fun decorations to dress it up, not to mention a few ghostly surprises. Imagine how inviting your finished project will look sitting outside the door of your luxury rental at The Modern, when your neighbors come to trick or treat! This event is geared for children of all ages.
